Position Overview:
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Wheel Cell Operator for the 2nd Shift at their client's manufacturing facility in Canton, Georgia. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the production line. The ideal candidate will be committed to quality, safety, and precision in their work, with a keen eye for detail.
Location: Onsite in Canton, GA
Shift: Monday- Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am, Overtime is possible, but not guaranteed
Pay: $18.96/hour during the training period (up to 4 weeks). After training is completed and candidate can work unsupervised and is in good standing, the pay rate increases to $20.36/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Operate feeders, straighteners, conveyors, coil reels, dies, presses, and other production tooling to manufacture products.
- Work from blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, and both written and verbal instructions.
- Operate punch presses to make blade sections and wrap components; set up and operate assembly presses.
- Use micrometers, rulers, and other measuring devices to inspect parts as defined by standard operating procedures; document inspections on provided forms and make necessary adjustments to press and auxiliary systems.
- Change assembly dies and die components; adjust straighteners, coil reels, and conveyor systems as needed.
- Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities, and update tags on containers.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials, and process paperwork, labeling, etc., based on work instructions, customer specifications, and quality audits.
- Complete required reports and records, detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations, maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform continuous repetitive motions.
- Experience operating factory machinery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to complete daily tasks in a timely manner and follow all safety protocols.
- Reliable means of transport to and from the workplace.
- Excellent work ethic with a desire to succeed, a commitment to long-term employment, and a strong understanding of the importance of safety and attendance.
